Throughout the New Testament, the idea of rebirth, or being born again is used to describe what happens when a person chooses to follow Jesus. Often, as believers, we skim over the idea as obvious or routine. When Jesus told Nicodemus (John 3) that he must be reborn, the concept made little sense to him. Even though many Jesus followers are comfortable with the words “Born Again,” few of us actually comprehend the impact the process has on our beings, both in this life and the in the next.
